Over 500 people assembled at the Marriott Marquis on a very rainy Saturday afternoon to celebrate the As The World Turns Fan Club annual luncheon. The fan club put on an outstanding event, complete with great raffles (I won the driving ad Katie was reading in the special 50th anniversary "I Love Katie" episode). A great bloopers reel was played, along with the several promos for the show that never made it on TV. Martha Byrne and Michael Park announced the cast, both present and past in attendance at the luncheon. We all got a first peek at Spencer Grammer (yes, Kelsey Grammer's daughter) who starts taping her shows this week as the new Lucy Montgomery. It was also great to see Terri Garber, John James, Mark Pinter and Anthony Herrera. Helen Wagner came as well, although she recently fell at home and her face was bruised. The lines to see everyone were long, but well worth the wait. It was great to speak with other fans of the show.

After the fan club luncheon, a bunch of us headed over to a local bar for Martinis With Henry. Trent Dawson and Alexandra Chando hung out & Jill and Kendra had planned a Mardi Gras theme for the gathering (hence Trent's hat). There was Henry trivia & loads of laughs.

All in all, a great weekend. If you weren't there this year, you will want to get your tickets early to next year's luncheon as it is a "Must Not Miss" event. See you all in 2007!
